LOGISTICS IN MONGOLIA: JUNE WEEK 2
ZAMIIN-UUD – ERLIAN TRAFFIC CIRCULATION WORKING GROUP ESTABLISHED A working group has been set up on the Zamiin-Uud-Erlian traffic congestion issue according to Covid-19 procedures set by the Chinese government. The Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, S.Amarsaikhan, held several meetings with the Chinese side to restore freight traffic to normal, and visited Dornogovi aimag last month. At today’s Cabinet meeting, a permanent working group chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs N.Ankhbayar was established until the port’s operations return to normal. The Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene instructed the working group to work full time at the port starting this week and to resolve the situation promptly.
